All of these things I cannot change unfortunately. And before I get the inevitable "BuT YoU DoNt NeEd tO TrAnScOdE everything" my server set up is pretty slow, my chromecasts don't do well with some scence formats, and my wifi is pretty terrible.

Surely there has to be a better system to transcoding all incoming files. Even changing my ffmpeg to only use 50% of the cpu, with multiple things going at once it can make sonarr, plex, pihole, etc, completely useless. Sometime it gets so slow from multiple transcoding that it crashes my server completely. Is there anything that could queue the transcodes to one at a time? and even better if I could schedule it to only start transcoding during peak times. The system works pretty great, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a better system? The issue Im having is that if sonarr downloads say an entire season of a show, then all the episodes get sent to mp4_automator at the same time and it tries to transcode 10+ files at once. I use sickbeard's mp4 automator to transcode everything sonarr downloads in to a nice, super universal format that plex wont have to ever transcode on the fly because the cpu on my sever is pretty crappy. When a TV show get downloaded (by Sonarr's initiation) it just downloads as normal and moves to the correct folder with no post processing whatsoever and no error. So this is tangentally related to Sonarr, so hopefully I'm not breaking rule 3. When a movie gets downloaded now I get an error in Sabs that says "SABPostProcess ERROR - No Category Detected." In Sabs>Settings>Folders, scripts folder is pointed to /sickbeard_mp4_automator, In Sabs>Settings>Categories the 4 I have are Sonarr, TV, Movies, Bypass all are "default" for Priority and Processing, Sonarr's category "script" points to "postSonarr.py" as does "TV" and Movies category "script" points to "SABPostProcess.py". (I did not add the sickrage, Radarr, sickbeard, couchpotato categories because I don't use that software.) My Sabs categories are just "movies" and "TV" although I did add a "Sonarr" category and a "bypass"to comply with the SB to MP4 Automator instructions. So Sonarr wouldn't do anything other than it has been except now it's moving a tagged mp4 instead of an MKV. How do I set up Sabs and the Sab section of the autoprocess.ini to post process my downloads? If I just use the Sabs section can I not configure the Sonarr section of the autoProcess.ini or do I have to configure that Sonarr section as well? Do I have to configure Sonarr itself as well?īasically I want to know if I can just have Sabs "aware" of the post processing and the Sickbeard to MP4 Automator only be "aware" of Sabs. I use DogNzb queue, watchlist and RSS for movies and Sonarr for TV. I have it working fine when running manual.py my problem is with automatic post processing.ĭownload client is sabnzbds, on a Mac.
